Tree of Life Kabbalah

Behold that before the emanations were emanated and the creatures were created,
The Upper Simple Light had filled the whole existence.
And there was no vacancy, such as an empty air, a hollow,
But all was filled with that Simple, Boundless Light.
And there was no such part as head, or end,
But everything was One, Simple Light, balanced evenly and equally,
And it was called “the Light of Ein Sof (Infinity).”
And when upon His simple will, came the desire to create the worlds and emanate the emanations,
To bring to light the perfection of His deeds, His names, His appellations,
Which was the cause of the creation of the worlds,
Then the Ein Sof restricted Himself, in His middle point, precisely at the center,
And He restricted that Light, and drew far off to the sides around that middle point.
And there remained an empty space, an empty air, a vacuum
Precisely from the middle point.
And that restriction was equally around that empty, middle point,
So that the space was evenly circled around it.
And after the restriction, when the vacant space remained empty
Precisely in the middle of the Light of Ein Sof,
A place was formed, where the Emanations, Creations, Formations, and Actions might reside.
Then from the Light of Ein Sof, a single line hung down from Above, lowered into that space.
And through that line, He emanated, created, formed, and made all the worlds.
Prior to these four worlds, there was one Light of Ein Sof, whose Name is One, in wondrous, hidden unity,
And even in the angles closest to Him
There is no force and no attainment in The Ein Sof,
As there is no mind of a created that could attain Him,
For He has no place, no boundary, no name.

Fort Minor - Be Somebody

We don't sleep to dream
We sleep to build stamina
Energy to do our thing
Get your camera
Cuz this ride is about to begin
Sit down, and buckle it in
Let me say it again
In this world
Everybody's got a chip on
Both sides of their neck
Got no respect
Wait up a sec
When I was young
They said the odds of makin it
Were slim, to none
Ladies, and, fuck it
I'm tired of them sayin the dream you have
Doesn't exist
Tellin you you're worthless
Sayin you should quit
Basically tellin' you
That you'll never be shit
Really they're pissed
Cuz they'll never achieve
Some opportunity they missed
Back when they were sixteen
And all they want to do is push you to be that
And all you wanna do is scream back

John Edward - "Psychic" In contact with the dead

John Edward McGee, Jr. (born October 19, 1969) is an American television personality, and psychic medium. He is best known for his TV shows Crossing Over with John Edward and John Edward Cross Country, both of which are premised on Edward communicating with thespirits of the audience members' deceased relatives.
Born in Glen Cove, New York, Edward says he was convinced at a young age that he could become a psychic.[1] After writing his first book on the subject in 1998, Edward became a well-known and controversial figure in the United States through his shows broadcast on SCI FI Channel beginning in July 2000 and We TV since May 2006.

The Five Principles of the Jewish Defense League

jdl small logojdl small logojdl small logojdl small logojdl small logo
AHAVAT YISRAEL - Love of Jewry
The Jewish Defense League came into being to educate the Jewish people to the concept of Ahavat Yisrael -- one Jewish people, indivisible and united, from which flows the love for and the feeling of pain of all Jews. It sees the need for a movement that is dedicated specifically to Jewish problems and that allocates its time, resources, energies and funds to Jews. It realizes that in the end -- with few exceptions -- the Jew can look to no one but another Jew for help and that the true solution to the Jewish problem is the peaceful liquidation of the Exile (may it come speedily, and in our days, as prophesied) and the return of all Jews to Eretz Yisrael -- the land of Israel. It sees an immediate need to place Judaism over any other "ism" and ideology and calls for the use of the yardstick: "Is it good for Jews?"
HADAR - Dignity and Pride
JDL teaches the concept of Hadar -- pride in and knowledge of Jewish tradition, faith, culture, land, history, strength, pain and peoplehood. Hadar is the need to have pride in Judaism and not allow it to be disgraced and defiled by beating and desecration of Jewish honor. This is the concept that the great Jewish leader Zev Jabotinsky attempted to instill in the oppressed and degraded masses of Eastern Europe 70 years ago. The anti-Semite's hatred and contempt of the Jew is an attempt to degrade us. It is an attempt to instill within the Jew a feeling of inferiority. It is an attempt that, all too often, succeeds in promoting Jewish self-hatred and shame in an attempt to escape one's Jewishness. Hadar is pride. Hadar is self-respect. Hadar is dignity in being a Jew.
BARZEL - Iron
JDL upholds the principle of Barzel -- iron -- the need to both move to help Jews everywhere and to change the Jewish image through sacrifice and all necessary means -- strength, force and even violence as a last resort. The Galut image of the Jew as a weakling, as one who is easily stepped upon and who does not fight back is an image that must be changed. Not only does that image cause immediate harm to Jews but it is a self-perpetuating thing. Because a Jew runs away or because a Jew allows himself to be stepped upon, he guarantees that another Jew in the future will be attacked because of the image that he has perpetuated. JDL wants to create a physically strong, fearless and courageous Jew who fights back. We are changing an image, an image born of 2,000+ years in the Galut, an image that must be buried because it has buried us. We train ourselves for the defense of Jewish lives and Jewish rights. We learn how to fight physically, for it is better to know how and not have to, than have to and not know how.
MISHMAAT - Discipline and Unity
Mishmaat -- discipline and dedication -- creates within the Jew the knowledge that he (or she) can and will do whatever must be done, and the unity and strength of willpower to bring this into reality. It was the lack of discipline and Jewish unity that led continually to the destruction of the Jewish people. It is Jewish unity and self-discipline that will lead to the triumph of the Jewish people.

BITACHON - Faith in The Indestructibility of The Jewish People
Faith in the greatness and indestructibility of the Jewish people, our religion and our Land of Israel is Bitachon. It is a faith that is built by our belief in HaShem Tzvaot -- the one and only Jewish G-d of Hosts -- and the incredible saga of Jewish history that has seen us overcome the flood of enemies that have arisen to wipe us out in every generation. It is this faith in the permanence and survival of the Jewish people that, in turn, gives faith in the ultimate success of the Jewish Defense League. No matter how difficult, no matter how impossible the task may seem -- if it is a good task, if it is a holy task -- it will succeed, because it must.
The sources for the philosophy and actions of the Jewish Defense League are Jewish sources. They stem from the wellsprings of Jewish tradition and have their roots in Jewish teachings. In the Hebrew Scriptures, in the Talmud, in the teachings of Chazal, our blessed rabbis throughout the ages, in Jewish practice throughout history, the concepts of Ahavat Yisrael and Hadar Yisrael and the practices of Barzel Yisrael, Mishmaat Yisrael and Bitachon Yisrael are hallowed. At the same time, an eternal debt is owed to Jews of our age who also recognized that these concepts are indeed Jewish and who fought an assimilated Jewish tide to put them into practice. We refer to the great Zev Jabotinsky, his followers and his movement of which we consider ourselves a spiritual part. And sitting in Heaven righteously alongside Jabotinsky is the founder and forever spiritual leader of the Jewish Defense League, Rabbi Meir Kahane. May the Almighty grant us the understanding to recognize and act on our problems forthrightly and the courage to go out to battle against our enemies in the face of all obstacles -- from within and without.

This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him And saved him out of all his troubles.

Adrenalin! By Shmuelly Davidoff

life sometimes feels like you being flushed down a sewage pipe trying to breath healthy air, all you get is disgusting poo all over you, all you want is to be happy, and the g-d that your all trying to work out if he's reall is the one resposible for all this, your right that it feels nasty and how could he do this??

The answer is very simple, mankind has to and actually does serve something or someone all the time, what does this mean, he needs to completely put his mind aside and worship with all his heart this something that hes attracted to or more likely something that comes from somewere above him, someone on a higher level then he is and so he puts his trust fully in him or it, (which pretty much means blind faith) if he doesnt, he is by default worshiping himeself instead, basically he only believes and trusts in himeself, and his own powers, and is scared or is too egotistic to let go of himeself for something or someone else, and becomes very self absorbed and selfish, it becomes a sad story, because he ends up abusing himeself, sexuall abuse, drugs, food, he might try to let go to server and trust something else fully because he was bought up in a certain upbringing but he has a really hard time letting go, he actually sometimes does manadge to let go and feels the fresh air that is there for him but he realizes how hard it is for him to do it, and honesty not pretending, (its very easy to shake back and forward and learn with a loud voice,) it seems impossible, and he feels like a failure, so he begins to fight it and turn his back on it, fighting it to get rid of this challange so that it doesnt remind the whole him how weak he is.

He has to try very hard to remember the few times he managed to let go and put his complete trust in hashem, its a memory that will be very hard to find because his brain is so poisoned by the shit he thinks about all day... but the memory is still there waiting for him wen he decides to start digging in his pile.

Hashem wen he sees a person struggling with what hes serving and not focussing on his real and truthful work, because hes scared and doesnt trust the outcome, or a big ego, if he's LUCKY hashem will send him down the sewres to wake him up from a deep sleep hes putting himself it to, ill give you an example, its like smoking a joint, if you smoke a fat joint and then tripped naked and ran in the freezzing cold on a busy city street you WILL 100percent sober up quikly! or if the cops were on your ass also it shakes right back to your normal thinking senses and not this cloud 9 your living in wen your high. Life is like a roller coaster ride in a theme park, it scares the crap out of you, but you feel safe on it you dont say this thing is evil and 'who the f**** wants this as a friend anyway' because you know its friendly and is only there for your entertainment and happiness, it keeps you happy and alive!! adrenaline baby."

Am i normal?

This be the verse - Philip Larkin

They fuck you up, your mum and dad.
They may not mean to, but they do.
They fill you with the faults they had
And add some extra, just for you.

But they were fucked up in their turn
By fools in old-style hats and coats,
Who half the time were soppy-stern
And half at one another's throats.

Man hands on misery to man.
It deepens like a coastal shelf.
Get out as early as you can,
And don't have any kids yourself.

Black Button - Simply Brilliant!

Religulous - Bill Maher - FULL DOCUMENTRY! AMAZING!

Bill Maher - Ending from hes documentry Religulous

The irony of religion is that because of its power to divert man to destructive courses, the world could actually come to an end. The plain fact is, religion must die for mankind to live. The hour is getting very late to be able to indulge in having in key decisions made by religious people. By irrationalists, by those who would steer the ship of state not by a compass, but by the equivalent of reading the entrails of a chicken. George Bush prayed a lot about Iraq, but he didn’t learn a lot about it. Faith means making a virtue out of not thinking. It’s nothing to brag about. And those who preach faith, and enable and elevate it are intellectual slaveholders, keeping mankind in a bondage to fantasy and nonsense that has spawned and justified so much lunacy and destruction. Religion is dangerous because it allows human beings who don’t have all the answers to think that they do. Most people would think it’s wonderful when someone says, “I’m willing, Lord! I’ll do whatever you want me to do!” Except that since there are no gods actually talking to us, that void is filled in by people with their own corruptions and limitations and agendas. And anyone who tells you they know, they just know what happens when you die, I promise you, you don’t. How can I be so sure? Because I don’t know, and you do not possess mental powers that I do not. The only appropriate attitude for man to have about the big questions is not the arrogant certitude that is the hallmark of religion, but doubt. Doubt is humble, and that’s what man needs to be, considering that human history is just a litany of getting shit dead wrong. This is why rational people, anti-religionists, must end their timidity and come out of the closet and assert themselves. And those who consider themselves only moderately religious really need to look in the mirror and realize that the solace and comfort that religion brings you actually comes at a terrible price. If you belonged to a political party or a social club that was tied to as much bigotry, misogyny, homophobia, violence, and sheer ignorance as religion is, you’d resign in protest. To do otherwise is to be an enabler, a mafia wife, for the true devils of extremism that draw their legitimacy from the billions of their fellow travelers. If the world does come to an end here, or wherever, or if it limps into the future, decimated by the effects of religion-inspired nuclear terrorism, let’s remember what the real problem was that we learned how to precipitate mass death before we got past the neurological disorder of wishing for it. That’s it. Grow up or die.

God cares for you?

What is the difference between a Jew and Goy? By D.N Kaye

what is the difference between a jew and a goy? Its very simple! jews get their doodle chopped when they’r 8 days old! they are forced to read prayers all day! torah all night! wake up to pray on their weekends which are meant to be their day of rest! read a torah portion in front of a few hundred ppl at age 13! learn all day till 22 when they then get married to the woman of their ‘dreams’ who they meet only under the chupah! and who they fantasized behind their brick walled yeshiva and until now thought of them as bad and evil creatures that lure you to sin! and the biggest difference is definately the food. although gefilte fish and chicken soup aint that bad. try feeding a goy cholent and kishke! or maror and about 2 thirds of a stale matzah within 4 minutes or you have to do it again [on pesach] (this is also after 2 cups of wine on an empty stomach)! we are nuts! chosen?! more like chosen to be losers! right? but somehow i feel fine with it? it doesn’t bother me at all and i am happy when pesach comes round?! you know why? because i’m a crazy jew who beleives and feels a closeness to god when i do these things. if i do it as a robot, i feel stupid, but when I CHOOSE TO DO IT! i feel really close to him! i have a neshoma and thats what makes the difference!

100 responses to “How are you?”

How do you answer? This question has become a ubiquitous greeting in our society and just as prevalent is the humdrum “good”, “fine”, “meh”, etc. In a flash of inspiration and a dash of cash, I collected one hundred unusual comebacks. None of these are edited and the only rule was to be upbeat. The “NOTE” texts are from the authors, not me.
I’m just peachy keen!
Greetings, may you live long & prosper. (NOTE: I usually go for Hello as greeting, and then follow up with the How are you or How are you doing.)
Fair to middling, mostly middling.
Even better than the real thing.

I am better than heaven today!
Thankfully alive and still somewhat young and healthy, in this economy what more can I ask for?

Living the dream!
Fabulous!
I’m about as excited as a parking spot!
Just dandy! I have sworn off use of the word “awesome” because I work with someone who’s been no less than “awesome” for five years, which of course is impossible. (NOTE: How many people believe that when someone asks, “How are you?” they really want to know - hmmmm.)
well and fine and good.
I must be OK because my name was not in today’s obituaries!
I can’t complain… I’ve tried, but no one listens.
I am wonderfully giddy.
Worse than yesterday but better than tomorrow
I am better than yesterday and not as good as I will be tomorrow.

Pretty fly for a white guy…taking life one punch at a time! (NOTE: Life is better than the alternative…smile!)
“Standing in the eye of the storm.” (NOTE: My husband always answers this way. It refers to the eye of a tornado, which is still while the winds swirl around. When he says it in response to “how are you,” he means that right now things are calm but that there’s all this activity swirling around you and things may change at any moment.)
Still among the living!
I am sailing on the sea of love.
“Blood pressure 120/80, respiration 16, CBC and Chem Panels normal.”

Well I did just swallow a rather large and strange looking insect, but I hear they’re full of protein. So I guess I’m great.
Am fine unless these exams are not very tough.
Well, I’m not in prison. I’m not in the hospital. I’m not in the grave. So I reckon I’m fairing along pretty well. (NOTE: Limited Souther expression)
Fine as frog hair and twice as fuzzy.
FINE - fickle insecure neurotic and emotional, as usual (NOTE: for bad days - f***ed up insane neurotic and emotional.)
In the normal sense or the Cartesian sense?
I’m feelin’ like a good luck magnet today, everything is coming my way!
From what I hear, I am very good.

An inspiring story i really like

A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighborhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar. He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something. As his car passed, no children appeared. Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag’s side door! He slammed on the brakes and drove the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been thrown. The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him up against a parked car, shouting, “What was that all about and who are you?
Just what the heck are you doing?
That’s a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money.
Why did you do it?”
The young boy was apologetic. “Please mister … please, I’m sorry… I didn’t know what else to do,” he pleaded.
“I threw the brick because no one else would stop…”
With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car.
“It’s my brother,” he said.
“He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can’t lift him up.”

Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive, “Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He’s hurt and he’s too heavy for me.”
Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat. He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took out his fancy handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts. A quick look told him everything was going to be okay.

“Thank you and may God bless you,” the grateful child told the stranger.
Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the little boy push his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home. It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar. The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door. He kept the dent there to remind him of this message: Don’t go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!

God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts. Sometimes when we don’t have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us.

It’s our choice: Listen to the whisper … or wait for the brick!
